Paul Satinder Singh 'Bubli' Chohan was born on 2 July 1957 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He moved to Canada with his family in 1962, at the age of five.

He Studied at Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School, Vancouver, Canada.

He played for Vancouver India F.H.C.

He earned his first international cap when he represented Canada against Pakistan in New Zealand in 1974. The following year he played at the 1975 Pan American Games in Mexico.

He represented Canada at the Montreal 1976 Olympic Games.

He represented Canada at the Buenos Aires 1978 World Cup.

He represented Canada at the 1979 Pan American Games in San Juan; the 1981 Intercontinental Cup in Kuala Lumpur and the 1983 Pan American Games in Caracas.

He represented Canada at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games.

He represented Canada at the 1985 Intercontinental Cup in Barcelona.

He represented Canada at the London 1986 World Cup.

He represented Canada at the 1987 Pan American Games in Indianapolis.

He represented Canada at the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games.

He represented Canada at the 1989 Intercontinental Cup, Madison in USA.

He represented Canada at the Lahore 1990 World Cup.

He represented Canada at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana and the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata. He was the Flag Bearer for the Canadian Delegation at these Games.

He represented Canada at the 1996 Olympic Qualifier in Barcelona; the 1996 World Cup Preliminary in Sardinia1997 World Cup Qualifier in Kuala Lumpur.

He was Canada's coach at the Americas Cup 2000 in Cuba.

He was assistant coach at the Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

He is Canada's most capped player with 317 international caps.

In October 2014, he was honoured by being selected in Canada's Hall of Fame.
