Kuljeet Singh Dhak was born in Nairobi, Kenya. His parents had emigrated to Kenya from India in 1924.
He attended Khalsa Primary School and Jamhuri High School in Nairobi and played hockey for his school team.
He joined Aryans Hockey team in 1975 and stayed with the Club when it became Khalsa Sports Club in 1976. He was a member of Khalsa Hockey Club team that won the M R D'Souza Gold Cup in 1976.
He was selected for Kenya Olympic team for Montreal 1976 Olympic Games but Kenya's boycott of the Games, together with all the African counties, deprived him of playing at Olympic Games.
He captained the Kenya Juniors at the 1st All African Championship held in Ibadan, Nigeria in 1978.
He was a member of Kenya team that played at the 1st Esanda Tournament in Perth, Australia and the following year he emigrated , with his family, to the UK.
He joined Slough Hockey Club in 1981 and played for this Club and Bucks County until 1987 when he retired from playing hockey.
He was selected to represent Kenya against Great Britain at Bisham Abbey in 1984.
He resides in Slough.
