Balbir Singh Randhawa, popularly know as Balbir Navy, was born in Thugalwala Dist, Gurdaspur in Punjab, India.
After schooling at S.K.D. Khalsa High School in Tugalwala he joined Indian Navy. He played for Indian Navy and the Services teams.
He earned his first international cap for India when he played against Italy at the Madrid international tournament. India won the tournament.
He was also in India's squad for the pre Olympic International tournament in London later in 1967.
He joined Northern Railways in 1968 and played for the Railways for eight years.
He lives in Amritsar, Punjab, India.
