Rohan Singh Bhuhi was born in Leicester, England in April 2000.

He attended his local states schools Woodland Grange Primary School, Manor High School and Beauchamp College. As well as playing in multiple sports teams at school, Rohan pursued football as his first-choice sport with Oadby Owls FC up to the age of 10. He also played cricket up to the age of 11.

His interest in hockey grew through his father, Harvinder, who was a key person in establishing, at Leicester HC, what became one of the most successful junior sections in the country. Rohan was especially inspired by Malaysia international striker Nishel Kumar, who played at the Leicester HC for a couple of spells.

At the age of 13, Rohan was selected to train and tour with UK Lions under the guidance of the late legendary coach Pete Atkins. With UK Lions, Rohan had the opportunity to tour Gibraltar, Belfast, Sardinia and India alongside the most talented youngsters in the country.

At Leicester HC, Rohan part of a hugely successful group of young players that went on to play at a high level, several at junior international. The club reached national finals at U12, U14 and U16 level.

In 2016, Rohan represented the England U16 team and scored a field goal on debut against Netherlands in Rotterdam on 26 March 2016.

At club level, Rohan moved from his home club, Leicester, to join Loughborough Students HC, who had been promoted to the top tier of England hockey. Rohan made his England Hockey Premier League debut for Loughborough Students in 2016.

At junior international level, he stepped up to the England U18 team and, after making his debut at this level against Wales, became a regular selection. He went on to play in the European U18 Six Nations Tournament in Nottingham in summer 2017.

Rohan was an established member of the U18 national team for the 2017/18 season, culminating with the European U18 Boys Championship in Santander, Spain.

Progressing from the U18 level, Rohan was selected for the Great Britain Elite Development Programme (EDP). He remained in this programme until stepping up to the senior GB programme in September 2023.

Rohan continued to play his league hockey at Loughborough Students whilst studying for his degree in Computer Science at the University of Leicester.

He made his England U21 debut, aged 19, against Netherlands in Schiedam, Netherlands on 1 July 2019. The same year he represented Great Britain U21 at the Sultan of Johor Cup, in Malaysia. The team won gold at the tournament, defeating India in the final.

In 2021, Rohan suffered a complete ACL tear whilst playing for England U21 team against Scotland. He underwent reconstruction surgery and a rehabilitation programme that enabled him to return to play after nearly 15 months out.

On his return, Rohan transferred to Beeston HC, ending his six-year stay at Loughborough Students HC.

He moved to Southgate Hockey Club at the start of the 2023/24 season.

He made his Great Britain international debut against Netherlands on 7 December 2023 during the FIH Pro League in Santiago de Estero, Argentina.

His younger brother, Yuvraj, is a junior international hockey goalkeeper who has represented England and Great Britain U21.
