Maninderjit Singh was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He graduated from University Malaya and Nottingham Trent University (UK).

He played for MPK; MBF; YNS; MPPJ; BSN; E & Y and SAPURA.

He played his first international at Junior Level on 3.1.1990 and played at Barcelona 1993 Junior World Cup.

He played at 1993 Champion Trophy held in Kuala Lumpur and Hiroshima 1994 Asian Games.

He played at Utrecht 1998 and Kuala Lumpur 2002 World Cups.

He played at Kula Lumpur 1998 Commonwealth Games and the Bangkok 1998 Asian Games.

He played at South East Asian Games in 1993,1995,1997 and 2001.

He played at Champion Challenge 2001 held in Kuala Lumpur.

He played at Sultan Azlan Shah Trophy in 994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002.

He was Best top three Sportsmen at the National level for the year 2001/2002.

He won the award of Best National Sikh Sportsman three times.
